Beschreibung: The film starts with the President leaving his guest château at Montreuil to the salute of the British escort, tipping his hat to the camera and driving off. At 4pm on 11 October he and Field Marshal Haig inspect the guard of honour of the Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) at Lillers station. With Haig are Brigadier-General John Charteris and Brigadier-General John 'Tavish' Davidson (?), his heads of Intelligence and Operations respectively. Again Machado acknowledges the camera, leaving by car. Two days later the President arrives at Roquetoire to decorate four Portuguese officers, the first to be awarded the Croix de Guerre. Portuguese troops march past. The President leaves by car (notice the official photographer, J Warwick Brooke, in the crowd).
